I have to admit I haven’t actually atrted using Twitter yet, I find Facebook does well enough. What else is to be gained from Twitter that Facebook doesnt provide? I would like to know what I am missing if anything.

I always thought that Twitter though an effective social media tool, doesn’t help much to build any business but after reading this story, believe that it works out sometimes, provided you follow the tweets on regular basis and try to build relevant links to your business domain through those informal tweets.

Yes, it is SO easy to connect with others on Twitter. I am going to take a look at some of the names you mention. There is very little risk – you can always unfollow someone, and if they are bothering you, you can block them. I’ve tried to tell people that who are job hunting or trying to build a business, but I haven’t made many converts (I know others in New Jersey that are better convincers that I am).

Hi Leora,
We met on twitter! This post really made me want to shout to the world how valuable Twitter can be for business. I have gotten a lot of interesting collaborative PR from it. I connected with @wchingya there (she began following me first, I believe) and we will soon be writing guest posts on each others’ blogs. I found @stevedrake (of Causaholic) on Twitter, and then featured a story of his nonprofit on my blog. I connected with @rootwork on Twitter, and invited him to submit a proposal to develop a workshop at the Nonprofit Technology Conference with me – it was accepted and we will be working together. I can think of so many more examples – all resulting in collaborative outcomes.
